Dr Google says planking is one of the most effective exercises you can do in the comfort of your own home. It works muscles all over the body – abs, biceps, calves, thighs, neck and shoulders. It decreases the risk of back and spinal injuries while increasing metabolism, balance, flexibility and posture.

And, most importantly of all, it’s great for toning your tooshie. Which is why I plank all the time.
